So I LOVE country music. Its like one of those childhood things. I can remember riding in my dads pick up jamming out to Grath Brooks and Travis Tritt. I love it and I still listen to it.

Guacamole Chicken Burgers

OH EM GEE!!! You GUYS!! These burgers are to DIE for!! I am totally a guacamole girl and always looking for ways to squeeze it in with out having to eat chips with it. This recipe is one of the best chicken burgers I've had, then top it with guac and BAM- we have a WINNER!

These are 21 day fix approved (1 red and one blue) AND will satisfy your cravings for a yummy burger any day! I didn't use any carb with this particular dinner BUT you could use a pita pocket with some lettuce and tomato -- that would give you 1 yellow and 1/2 a green all depending on how much lettuce and tomato you use!

GUACAMOLE CHICKEN BURGERS (Serves 2)

Ingredients:
1/2-pound ground chicken
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2  teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

1 avocado (2 blue containers when mashed)
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons olive oil

Directions:
1. Mix the ground turkey together with the chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, and salt in a medium bowl.
2. Split into two parts and form into patties
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with 3 teaspoons of olive oil
4. Cook the patties, making sure they brown on both sides AND no longer pink on the inside.

Meanwhile, make your guacamole.
1. Mash together the avocados, lime juice, garlic powder in a bowl.
2. Season to taste with salt and pepper

Serve burgers with a dollop (1 blue container's worth) of guacamole on each patty.

My comeback.

I am so full of emotion right now. It's like someone just threw me a surprise birthday or my hubby came home with flowers. YES, I love flowers that much.💐💐

Yesterday, I ran 1.5 miles WITHOUT any pain!!

Words cannot even describe how freaking HAPPY & EXCITED that makes me.

Patience- hard work- dedication & self love is bringing me back to running.

I AM...

Say it with me: I AM STRONG. I AM SMART. I AM BEAUTIFUL.

Did you know that "I am" is the most powerful statement you make about yourself & we all say it daily.

Whatever follows "I am" WILL become your reality whether you like it or not. Have you ever felt like you always GET what you believe with all your heart? I do. I've seen it.

Well those negative words you use that follow "I am" are getting cemented in your heart & you start believe them.

STOP. Change your words. Don't let your own mind get in the way of your dreams & the purpose you have on this earth.

You have no use for the words that put you down. If you wouldn't call your mom, sister, child, best friend that- then don't you dare give yourself that label.

Be your own best friend. Empower yourself DAILY and never follow up "I AM" with something negative.

Where is YOUR place?

You know that place that calms your soul and truly lets your mind & body rest...

Can you picture that place? Can you see what you are doing? How you feel? What you smell? The sounds that surround you?

My place is the beach. The warm sun surrounding me, the sand between my toes, the waves hitting the beach, people talking & kids playing in the distance. Just laying there smelling the coconut lotion and sea breeze. Doing nothing. Just being.

That is my place ☝🏼

Since I can't do that on the reg, I've been try to recreate some of that here. It's so important to go to your place even if it's just for 5 mins a day. Your place can help you reset & just BE instead of thinking, doing, running around in busy chaos.

One of the ways I've been doing this is by mediating. & taking my mind to the beach. As crazy as it sounds- it works.

I NEVER believed in meditation. For some reason I always thought meditation and prayer were totally different. Meditation was for weird people. Prayer was for me. (I KNOW- totally dumb)

Lately, God has brought people into my life who have given me a TOTALLY different outlook. I never thought I'd be that person but I feel like it's a deeper session of prayer & handing over your mind to God.

I'm definitely still working on it & remembering to do it everyday but the more I integrate it into my life the more it's benefiting everything around me.

Let me say this-- opening your eyes to the different things and doing them, WILL help you achieve the things you want.

It's as the saying going- The same actions give you the same results. Change it up and watch what happens.

Why Not Now?

I always get the question-- SO what is it exactly that you do?


The truth is-- my job is quite amazing 💟. It consists of spreading LOVE and truly caring about how others FEEL in their own skin. Its about holding each other ACCOUNTABLE to our goals. It's about creating FRIENDSHIPS through the challenge group that transcends the computer screen.

It's not just about losing the weight but NEVER finding it again. It's NOT me providing a quick fix. I provide a REAL LIFE SOLUTION that I, MYSELF, am LIVING PROOF of.

So what exactly do I do? It's simple-
I provide a place for US to feel comfortable, supported and motivated. We use Simple Fitness, Simple Nutrition, & Accountability to begin the journey of FEELING our best mentally and physically.

That is what I do. This is what I LOVE. This SYSTEM works for getting people to achieve the RESULTS they want.

I WON'T let you give up & I'll be next to you 100% of the time.

Chocolate Pudding

Chocolate pudding without the guilt! Give this a try this.

Total Time: 1 hr. 5 min.
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: None
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:
1½ scoops Chocolate Shakeology
1 ripe medium avocado
1 medium banana, cut into chunks
1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Directions:
1. Place Shakeology, avocado, banana, and almond milk in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. (If too thick add additional almond milk.)
2. Pour into four dessert cups; refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.

Childhood Memories

You know those moments that flash you back to your childhood?

That's me. Right now.

I'm shucking corn into a paper bag just like my grandmother used to have us all do. I can remember as a girl loving it. Sitting with my aunt and grandmother on the porch as we worked out way through the corn.

Gosh, I miss them. I miss those moments. I miss that feeling of being surrounded by family on those hot summer nights. I'm sad my kids don't get to experience that.

That right there is my driving force for my health & fitness business. It's to create opportunities to see our family more. To be present and to allow my kids to experience all the wonderful memories I had. To have the freedom to CHOOSE when we get to see them and NOT have it limited to once a year.

My mission is to create a business built from of helping other women feel their best. So we can all be happy, confident and be able to provide that freedom of choice.

As I sit here, remembering those memories, I'll use it as a fuel to push me & someday- we will be there. Shucking corn with my grandmother and aunt on the porch with my kids.

Because it's the smallest memories that make the biggest impact and I won't allow that to be taken away from my kids.

The facts are...

The facts are that YOU are the driver of your life, that YOU are the reason why you are where you are right now & that YOU, and ONLY YOU, can change your direction.

No one else can do it for you.
No amount of talking it out or telling others of your plans will get you to where you want to go.

Say and do. Better yet, write down your vision for where you want your life to go & read it everyday.

Keep it fresh in your mind & in your heart.

I KNOW is not easy to change set habits.
I KNOW it's not easy to shift your mindset.

But what I do know is that when that switch happens new doors open up that you never knew existed. You get better and you learn new habits that actually serve you instead of hurting you.

I'm on this journey too. Working through my own struggles and determined to help other woman make that journey too.

Together, we can.
Together, we can soar.

When I saw this picture it immediately took me back to how I felt last Sunday. To me, this picture is full of love, laughter and warmth. It's full of empowerment & positive energy. It's full of ladies who don't know each other but still loving on one another.

One of the main reasons I got into Coaching is because of that right there 👆🏼

The Community. The Sisterhood. The Friendships.

The people you surround yourself with become your tribe.

My dream has always been to create a tribe of ladies who empower & support one another. To be able to link arms and work to help other women feel their best. To be surrounded by other women who are ready for more in their life & willing to fight to get it.

Our tribe that we are building is a sisterhood and together we are creating freedom, confidence and happiness. Without them I wouldn't have made it this far.

Blessed to have met each and every one of them and excited to meet the new ladies who join us 💕

Backstage Pass into Coaching


When I decided to take a leap of faith I had no idea where the journey would take me. I had no business experience. No classes or education regarding how to run a business. I just had a burning desire to do more with my life! I knew that I loved to help others and fitness was something I was interested in.


I was struggling with myself. I was unhappy. I was afraid of our financial situation. I was stressed out. I was sad. I was lonely. I was blaming everything on my having three kids under 5 years old. I never thought I would feel 'normal' again. My kids could tell there was something wrong. My husband-- definitely could tell something was wrong. I was.... pretty much depressed.


So, I MADE A CHANGE!!


I took that first step and never looked back. Jumped and built my wings on the way down. I didn't wait for step by step instructions on what to do with my business. I went became a student and started soaking in all the information I could get my hands on.

Today, I am building my business so we can have FREEDOM and live by OUR design. I'm call the shots. No big boss who just wants to TELL you what to do. Nope. I plan my days. I am HERE, PRESENT with my kids and with my challengers and team.


I believe that anything is possible if you are ready to WORK for it. You have to DREAM BIG and accept that YOU will not QUIT! YOU will not FAIL! YOU will hit your goals each month no matter if it takes working til 1159 pm on the 30th of the month.


Success starts with YOU! If you want something then GO and don't look back!

Making this 4th of July a HEALTHY & HAPPY one


CAN you believe that the 4th of July is MONDAY!? I am super excited! For me the 4th is filled with family time, grilling out, sparklers, fireworks and in my childhood camp fires and camping (not happening this year unfortunately). We are STILL going to make it a FUN and EXCITING though- for the kids even got the Old Navy 4th of July shirts just like when my hubby and I were little!!

As FUN as the 4th of July is, its also a time FILLED with tasty treats and temptations galore! So the #1 rule I tell my challengers is -- DO NOT focus on being super STRICT (unless that’s your mission and you WANT to be super strict with yourself). It can lead to disappointment and give you an excuse to fall even further off the health wagon.

Instead I’ve created 7 easy ways to stay within a healthy limit, but also not feeling deprived either!!  I learned early on in my health and fitness journey that for ME, I had to keep it to the 80/20 rule! What does that even mean? Well it means that for about 80% of my week- I focus on eating all of my fruits, veggies, protein, etc! I drink my water and I’m really on point! And then the other 20%- well that is where some treats come in! I cannot feel deprived or else I binge eat. And I DO NOT want to go there! So I just eat according to my goals!

If you are leaving the house, here are a few easy ways to prepare for a healthy long weekend away-

#1- Preparing some protein ahead of time! Pre-grill or bake and chop some chicken to grab out of the fridge as a snack or to toss on a salad.
#2- Grab a big veggie tray to take! The veggies are already prepared and in a storable container. PLUS you are way more likely to grab veggies if they are ready to eat!
#3- Bring FRUIT! Pick a few fruits that the entire family loves. Be sure to prepare it ahead of time!
#4- Sparkling waters in the cooler! It tastes like a treat to me (NOW) and when it’s ice cold- It will be much more refreshing than a soda or gatorade!!
#5- Shakeology!! MY TREAT and saving grace! I will have it for breakfast every morning! It’s my go to fast food, keeps my cravings at bay, gives me energy and keeps me full for 3 hours. No brainer!!

OKAY- Now that we have the food squared away, by the way, I do that type of planning every week. Its EASY and helps me stay on track but it works when vacationing too ;)-

Now lets switch gears and talk about HOW to stay on track with your FITNESS while away--
Here are my SEVEN tips to surviving the holiday weekend!!

1.  Schedule your cheat meal for the week:  Decide what you want to splurge on!  Is it the grilled hotdogs that you LOVE? Is it your best friend’s macaroni and cheese? Is it the AMAZING peanut butter cake your aunt brings every year? Or is it the darn smores that get you every time? Maybe it’s the beer or margaritas that you just can’t say no to!!

Here’s the TRICK!!  Pick 1 or 2 things that you can’t live without and eat it!! Don’t go overboard! Give yourself a reasonable portion, but just enjoy and eat enough to be satisfied!! It will be okay!

2. Don’t skip your workout: Do not take a rest day on your cheat meal day!  You bust out that workout and you give it 100%.  Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean you slack.  Results happen because you are consistent day in and day out!  Invite some friends or family to do it with you! Make it fun and remember- results are not made when you feel like it- they happen when you WORK for it! We have a Beachbody on Demand option where you can literally pull up a workout ON YOUR PHONE! So you literally have NO excuses!! Let’s work! You can EVEN download the On Demand App to your phone or ipad and stream the workouts.  Plus with On Demand you can store up to 7 workouts so that you don’t even need wifi connection!

If you want to do something different then get yourself out for a run or switch it up by going to the gym in the hotel while traveling.  But if you are going to be enjoying summer treats, don’t schedule a rest day on a cheat day!

3.  Take a healthy appetizer if you go to a picnic:  This way you know you have something that you can eat that is guilt free!  Think veggie tray with hummus OR a fruit tray!

4. Don’t let yourself get to the point of ravenous:  If you are planning a picnic try not to skip meals.  Eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day to keep your metabolism in check but also because when I get to the point of beyond hungry all logical decision making goes out the door and I make bad choices!  So no matter what pack some snacks in a cooler, take your shake, drink your water and stay focused!!!!

5.  What are the best drinks to have?  Stay away from sugar loaded fruity cocktails like Margaritas, Daiquiris, Pina Coladas, Beer and wine. They are just full of sugar and carbs. The best drinks to go for are really vodka and soda water with a splash of lemon or lime.  We also make our own margaritas that are clean.
A GREAT cocktail is blending up fresh watermelon and then using the juice as the base, add in some tequilla, a splash of margarita mix, seltzer water and serve.  So refreshing and 1/2 the sugar!


6.  Stay Hydrated:  So when the sun is hot and you are outside it’s easy to get dehydrated.  So make sure you are constantly sipping your water and staying hydrated so you don’t confuse your thirst for hunger and begin to overeat!  Aim to drink 1/2 your body weight in OUNCES of water each day!  The more coffee you drink the more dehydrated you get, so sip that water!


7. Don’t Stress and HAVE FUN! Stress can absolutely derail progress, so make sure that you aren’t thinking about ‘what do I eat, how do I stay on track, oh my gosh! How many calories is in that, I can’t have that, etc’ when you should just have your plan and go with the flow! Enjoy the holiday, have a GAME PLAN and have some fun!! Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day! One day will NOT make or break you, just like one workout or one day of eating healthy will help you lose 20 pounds or get you abs! NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Progress, progress, progress! You can do it!
